Waste management has become a serious issue in Indian cities. Rapid urbanization and increasing consumption have led to a rise in waste generation, putting pressure on existing systems.
Improper disposal of waste not only harms the environment but also affects public health. Overflowing garbage bins, plastic pollution, and lack of recycling facilities are common sights in many areas.
Segregation of waste at the source is one of the simplest yet most effective solutions. However, awareness and implementation remain limited. Many people still do not follow basic waste segregation practices.
Government policies and community participation must go hand in hand. Promoting recycling, reducing plastic use, and adopting sustainable practices can make a significant difference.
Waste management is not just the responsibility of authorities—it requires collective effort from every citizen.
